Program Summary
As a Clinical Medical Assistant you will help the physician carry out procedures, care for patients, perform simple lab tests and administer medications. The Clinical Medical Assistant works in a doctors office or clinic. This course combines 134 hours of classroom instruction (21 of these hours online), including electrocardiography (EKG), with a 160-hour externship to provide you with a complete learning experience.
Starting Pay
$15 - $22 per hour based on a national average. Students are encouraged to do their own research as to what the prevailing wage is for employers in the region.
Community Job Survey
Employment is projected to grow much faster than average, ranking medical assistants among the fastest growing occupations over the 2006-16 decade. Employment of medical assistants is expected to grow 35 percent from 2006 to 2016, much faster than the average for all occupations. Program Summary
As a Veterinary Assistant you will feed, water, and examine pets for
signs of illness, disease, or injury; and clean and disinfect cages and work areas, as well as sterilize laboratory and surgical equipment in laboratories, animal hospitals and clinics. This program combines 35 hours of classroom instruction and 24 hours of externship to provide you with a complete learning experience.
Starting Pay
$10-$15 per hour per hour based on a national average. Students are encouraged to do their own research as to what the prevailing wage is for employers in the region.

willing to pay for frequent and advanced veterinary care.
This trend is expected to increase demand for veterinary
assistants and cause the field to grow faster than average

Take a guided tour and explore Traylor Ranch Bird Sanctuary and Nature Reserve - a County park. Traylor Ranch is a 90-acre passive park with many trails and family picnic areas. Guided guests will learn the history of the park, investigate the Antelope Creek as it twines through the property, sweep for insects in the grasslands, and discover Maidu grinding rocks.
We will meet at Traylor Ranch - 5050 English Colony Road, Penryn CA 95663, corner of Humphrey & English Colony Rd in Penryn. Look for parking lot located off of English Colony Road.
Takes place rain or shine!
Make a day out of it and bring a picnic lunch (be prepared to pack out your trash!)

A true "comics comic," Bobby Slayton, often referred to as "The Pitbull of Comedy", has been performing his own intense style of stand-up comedy for over 20 years, becoming one of the best known, respected, and energetic comics working today.
Audiences around the country may recognize Bobby from his scene-stealing roles in movies such as "Get Shorty", "Ed Wood", "Bandits" and, most recently, "Dreamgirls". Hes been seen on dozens of television shows including "The Tonight Show" and "Politically Incorrect". Bobbys many appearances on HBO have included "Comic Relief" and his own stand-up special.
